How Do I Comment?

Some of you have asked about commenting on the blog, so here's the low down...

Click on the Comments link and it will take you to a screen where you can enter your comment in a box on the right side of the page. It will ask you for a google username and password. If you have one, you can use it - otherwise you can "sign up here" and create a google username and password. It's a free account.

Once you post a comment, everyone else can read it. This is where I think the blog will get fun if the whole family gets updated in one place.

Good luck.

Our Journal

Noelle started preschool a few weeks ago. She goes to the elementary school across the street 2 days a week in the morning. On the first day she scraped her hand on the playground and reported that she didn't get to play with the doll she wanted.

Two weeks in and Noelle's school reports are slightly more substantial. She talks about Gabriella's curly hair and ladybug barrettes and she sings us songs about blackbirds and bunnies. It seems like she is having a good time and we know the structure and social learning are great!

Isaac is growing like a weed. He hasn't been weighed in awhile, but I know he's feeling heavy. It gives new respect to Alisa and Jessica who have had to carry around much heavier babies. He rolled over for the first time on August 15th, I've seen it once since then and now...nothing! You can try to bribe and encourage him, but he just doesn't care enough about anything to bother rolling over. He's incredibly active for being so immobile. He kicks constantly and has perfected the spitty raspberry (with way too much drool). We're still mastering solid foods - some days he eats great and others not so much.

He's a total gigglebox and I think he's even happier than Noelle was as a baby (if that's possible). He loves his sister and laughs at everything she does. Tonight she decided she wanted to snap up his pajamas. If you've done this on a 5 month old baby, you know that finding the correct snaps on a wiggling body is a huge challenge. She did pretty well and wanted to fix the mistakes she had made. She just kept telling him "hold still" and "stop kicking, Isaac - I can't do this if you're wiggly".

On Saturday Noelle, Tony and I went to see the pre-Broadway theatrical release of The Little Mermaid. They did a fantastic job. There's nothing like live theater! The sound of the orchestra, incredible costuming and applause from an audience - very thrilling. Noelle loved the costumes and the dancing. Now she want to see "3 more princess concerts".
